Tuesdays from 6:30pm - 8:30pm: February 17 - March 24
(February 17th, February 24th, March 3rd, March 10th, March 17th, and March 24th)
Ever wanted to pull prints on a press in your favorite community print shop? Now is your chance to dive headfirst into linocut block printing with local artists and Pickwick members, Lia Goncalves (@portmantoadprints) and Maggie Fiori (@maggiefiori).
Over the course of six weeks, students will be introduced to the basics of relief printmaking and carving a linoleum block, and then be guided in printing their own edition on Pickwick's relief presses. Students will be expected to do some planning and carving of their block in between classes in order to maximize learning and printing time in class. This class is limited to six students in order to ensure each student receives one-on-one guidance and ample time using the press. All materials are included, and no drawing or printmaking experience is necessary. If you have tried out block printing at home and you'd like to learn to print on a press and improve your skills, this is a great class for you!
Per student fee is $475 and includes all materials. Space is limited!
