Internships at Pickwick

Internships at Pickwick are a vital part of our community;
we offer a learning and working experience that is unique to a community printshop. We seek out interns that are engaged and enthusiastic about the field and community of printmaking.
We typically have one position available per trimester:

  • Summer: June 1- August 15th * Not taking on interns for summer 2024.

  • Fall: September 15-December 15

  • Winter/spring: February 1 -April 30 * Winter/Spring 2024 position is currently filled

Applications are rolling until position is filled for the trimester.
Interns are required to work 5-10 hours per week with supervision and assist our working members with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
-Administration, research and maintenance of the studio and equipment
-Letterpress and Screen printing area organization and maintenance
-Occasional assistance with printing and editioning projects
-Special research projects

At this time, we can only take on interns who are seeking credit as part of an educational experience. The internship is unpaid, but the intern will receive benefits of membership through the duration of semester, and access to the studio outside of their internship hours. We cannot support interns who need to work more than 10 hours per week.

Internship Requirements:
- Working 5 to 10 hours per week on a consistent schedule
-Keeping time and activity log
-Contributing printed matter to a group printing project
-Participating in all member meetings, workdays and events.
-Willingness to do a variety of tasks
-Signing standard membership contract and waiver
